Matreshka, along with shapka-ushanka and vodka, is a typical souvenir from Russia that every ‘decent’ tourist should buy. Matreshki are sold and given to everyone; they settle to quiet life on the shelves and desks of tourists from all over the world. But here exists another type of matreshka, matreshka unterwegs, who adores travelling and exploring different places with locals. Only travelers – open-minded, enthusiastic, inquisitive and striving for something off touristic path - come across such matreshka. So if you have been given it – you’re a really good person ;) Read below what you should do once you get a matreshka.
4 STEPS:
1. To read about other matreshka-holders in the blog www.matreshka8unterwegs.blogspot.com . Feel free to make friends with them =)
2. To take a pic of you with the matreshka (better with a local landmark in the background) and post it to the blog.
4. To find another worthy host for a matreshka =)

There are several RULES that you shouldn’t forget:
1. You’re allowed to hold a matreshka not more than 1 month. If you travel during this month, feel free to show her some other places except for your native city ;)
2. You shouldn’t give a matreshka to a person from the same country.
3. Make sure that the person you have given a matreshka to, passed it to the next traveler
P.S. There are only four bright red matreshki unterwegs (two smallest ones are always together ;)
